Message of the Coordinator
The first snow in Belgium managed to disrupt a little the first course of the Graduate School on Compressed Sensing and Sparse Approximation of Jared Tanner (who was stuck in Scotland) but this introductory course is a clear success with over 70 registrations ! The next course, to be held in February at the KULeuven, is likely to be quite successful as well : Karl Sigmund will give an introduction to Game Dynamics and the Evolution of Cooperation and has the reputation of being a very good lecturer.
Please do not forget the deadline of December 8th for submitting abstracts to the Benelux Meeting on Systems and Control of 2011. It is the ideal place for our new students to do their first conference presentations !
And finally, mark the following date in your agenda : on Tuesday, May 17th, our next IAP Study day will be held in the Château de Colonster, near Liège. The program will announced later.
I hope to see many of you at these different events.

The school is addressed to PhD students, PostDocs and also advanced undergraduates. We have a capacity for 40 students. There are 15 scholarships available to support students which have no access to other funds. We gratefully acknowledge support of the Klaus Tschira Foundation.

- Statement whether the candidate needs financial support.
