The home front is kept informed of the situation<\/li><li>End of operations: the end of an operation always comes with numerous risks. text-align: justify; padding-left: 25px; padding-right: border: 5px solid transparent;\">Le Service g\u00e9n\u00e9ral du Renseignement se voit confier un r\u00f4le important, puisqu\u2019il doit transmettre r\u00e9guli\u00e8rement aux autorit\u00e9s comp\u00e9tentes les informations collect\u00e9es, tant sur le plan strat\u00e9gique\/op\u00e9rationnel que sur le plan op\u00e9rationnel\/tactique. These informations, ainsi qu\u2019une pr\u00e9sence permanente sur le terrain, permit to drive, from Belgium, un certain nombre d\u2019op\u00e9rations de sauvetage arm\u00e9es et de participer \u00e0 des op\u00e9rations internationales de maintien de la paix.<\/td><td style=\"width: 300px; text-align: justify; padding-left: 25px; padding-right: border: 5px solid transparent;\">The Service g\u00e9n\u00e9ral du Renseignement was entrusted with a major role, i.e. providing the competent authorities with regular information pertaining to both the strategic\/operational and the operational\/tactical level. Thanks to this information and the permanent presence on site, it was possible to conduct several armed rescue operations from Belgium and to participate in international peacekeeping operations.<\/td><td style=\"width: 300px; text-align: justify; padding-left: 25px; padding-right: border: 5px solid transparent;\">An important role is reserved for the General Intelligence Service, which regularly reviews the data it collects, both of a strategic-operational and of an operational-tactical nature, available to the competent authorities.
