De ADIV is onderworpen aan de politieke richtlijnen van het Ministerieel Comit\u00e9 voor Inlichtingen en Veiligheid, aan de democratische controle van het Vast Comit\u00e9 van Toezicht op de Inlichtingsdiensten (Comit\u00e9 I) en werkt onder de auspici\u00ebn van de Minister van Defensie.\nAls stafdepartement Inlichting en Veiligheid (ACOS IS) the ADIV is under the authority of the Chief of Defense (COURSE).\nDe ADIV heeft 8 legal assignments :\n
    \n \t
  1. Looking it up, analyze and process any information relating to any activity affecting the integrity of the national territory, the military defense plans, the military-related scientific and economic potential, could threaten the execution of the armed forces' missions and the safety of Belgian nationals abroad;<\/li>\n \t
  2. Immediately transmit this information to its customers;<\/li>\n \t
  3. Monitoring the military safety of personnel, of the equipment, of the information, the IT support elements and the infrastructure;<\/li>\n \t
  4. Carrying out the security investigations entrusted to him;<\/li>\n \t
  5. Het beheer van de Belgische militaire attach\u00e9s en het aansturen van de in Belgi\u00eb geaccrediteerde buitenlandse defensieattach\u00e9s;<\/li>\n \t
  6. Ensure the organization and support of Intelligence and Security to operations;<\/li>\n \t
  7. Collaborate with the other Intelligence- and Security Services, with the Federal Police and the administrative and judicial authorities;<\/li>\n \t
  8. Drawing up guidelines regarding classified archives.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/td>\n
Le SGRS est soumis \u00e0 la direction politique du Comit\u00e9 Minist\u00e9riel du Renseignement et de la S\u00e9curit\u00e9, au contr\u00f4le d\u00e9mocratique du Comit\u00e9 Permanent de Contr\u00f4le des Services de Renseignements (Comit\u00e9 R) et agit sous l’autorit\u00e9 du Ministre de la D\u00e9fense.\nLe SGRS, dans son r\u00f4le de d\u00e9partement d’Etat-Major Renseignement et S\u00e9curit\u00e9 (ACOS IS) est plac\u00e9 sous l’autorit\u00e9 du Chef de la D\u00e9fense (COURSE).\nLes missions l\u00e9gales du SGRS sont de 8 orders :\n

  1. To research, analyser, traiter le renseignement relatif \u00e0 toute activit\u00e9 qui pourrait menacer l’int\u00e9grit\u00e9 du territoire national, les plans de d\u00e9fense militaires, le potentiel scientifique et \u00e9conomique li\u00e9 \u00e0 la D\u00e9fense, l’accomplissement des missions des Forces arm\u00e9es et la s\u00e9curit\u00e9 des ressortissants belges \u00e0 l’\u00e9tranger;<\/li>\n \t
  2. Fournir ce renseignement sans d\u00e9lai \u00e0 ses clients;<\/li>\n \t
  3. Veiller au maintien de la s\u00e9curit\u00e9 militaire du personnel, du mat\u00e9riel, informations, information supports and infrastructure;<\/li>\n \t
  4. Effectuer les enqu\u00eates de s\u00e9curit\u00e9 qui lui sont confi\u00e9es;<\/li>\n \t
  5. G\u00e9rer les attach\u00e9s de d\u00e9fense belges et prendre en charge les attach\u00e9s de d\u00e9fense \u00e9trangers accr\u00e9dit\u00e9s en Belgique;<\/li>\n \t
  6. Organiser et assurer l’appui Renseignement et S\u00e9curit\u00e9 aux op\u00e9rations ;<\/li>\n \t
  7. Coop\u00e9rer avec les autres Services de Renseignements et de S\u00e9curit\u00e9, avec la Police F\u00e9d\u00e9rale et les autorit\u00e9s administratives et judiciaires;<\/li>\n \t
  8. Etablir les prescriptions relatives aux archives classifi\u00e9es.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n

  3. The ADIV submits to the prescribed controls in all openness and transparency.<\/li>\n \t

  5. Is the ADIV a “single entry point, single exit point ” organization, that of an acquaintance- and information manager, secure and robust information management, instruments for efficient operation and an office for centralized production.<\/li>\n \t
