Le Centre d\u2019\u00e9tudes th\u00e9\u00e2trales de l\u2019UCLouvain a le plaisir de vous inviter \u00e0 la journ\u00e9e d\u2019\u00e9tudes Agents of Change <\/strong>qui se d\u00e9roulera le 13 mars 2026 en la Facult\u00e9 de philosophie Arts Lettres, Coll\u00e8ge \u00c9rasme,\u00a0Place Cardinal Mercier 31, Salle polyvalente, Learning Center Christine de Pizan, Louvain-la-Neuve.<\/p>\n

With the support of the Rector of Universit\u00e9 catholique de Louvain (UCLouvain), Professor Fran\u00e7oise Smets, and of CircleU., the Alliance of European Universities, and in coordination with Professor Isabelle Aujoulat, Vice-Rector for Equity, Diversity and Inclusion, and Professor Herv\u00e9 Jeanmart, Pro-Rector for International Affairs, the Centre for Theatre Studies (Centre d\u2019\u00e9tudes th\u00e9\u00e2trales, CET) and UCLouvain are pleased to invite you to Agents of Change: (Serbian) Students and Universities in Struggle for Academic Freedom, University Autonomy and Democracy, an international workshop and set of panels taking place on 12\u201313 March 2026\u00a0in Louvain-la-Neuve.<\/p>\n

The event brings together students and professors from Serbia and Belgium, alongside invited institutional and cultural actors, to discuss the Serbian student-led movement since November 2024 and the broader question of how universities can remain autonomous spaces of critical thought and democratic responsibility, especially under political, legal, and economic pressures that reshape governance, working conditions, and the public legitimacy of higher education.<\/p>\n

Participants include members of the University of Belgrade, our partner in Circle U.<\/p>\n
