The third Vocab@\u00a0conference<\/strong> will be hosted by KU Leuven<\/strong> from 1 to 3 July 2019<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Previous Vocab@\u00a0conferences were held at Meiji Gakuin University in Tokyo in 2016 and Victoria University Wellington in 2013.<\/p>\n

The Vocab@Leuven conference aims to bring together researchers from different disciplines who investigate the learning, processing, teaching, and testing of second\/foreign language vocabulary.<\/p>\n

We will invite abstracts for paper and poster presentations about any topic related to second\/foreign language vocabulary:<\/p>\n

Strands:<\/strong><\/p>\n

\n– vocabulary teaching (classroom-based research, technology-based, formal\/informal learning, \u2026)
\n– vocabulary assessment
\n– vocabulary and the skills of reading, listening, TV viewing, writing and speaking
\n– formulaic language
\n– corpus approaches to vocabulary
\n– psycholinguistic approaches to vocabulary
\n– neurolinguistic approaches to vocabulary
\n– vocabulary for specialized use (academic, business, technical, etc.)
\n– vocabulary resources (word lists, dictionaries, \u2026)
\n– vocabulary and genre\/register<\/p>\n

Types of presentations will include:<\/strong>
\n– individual paper (20 + 10 minutes)
\n– poster<\/p>\n

Submission deadline<\/strong> will be: December 15, 2018<\/p>\n
