This paper is based on a claim by Bevzenko (1960) that the suffixes &#8211;<em>\u010d<\/em> and &#8211;<em>\u0161\u010d<\/em> are derived from &#8211;<em>\u0161<\/em>, being a result of assimilative-dissimilative changes. As a result, the number of suffixes can be reduced to two, namely &#8211;<em>\u0161<\/em> and &#8211;<em>i\u0161<\/em>.
