Durant une interaction, chaque soignant se positionne par rapport aux autres membres de l\u2019\u00e9quipe et il respecte \u2013 autant que faire se peut \u2013 les r\u00e8gles et valeurs en vigueur dans l\u2019h\u00f4pital, dans l\u2019\u00e9quipe et dans l\u2019interaction. Leur non-respect rend la communication difficile et il peut positionner le locuteur en marge des pratiques professionnelles du collectif soignant dans lequel il souhaite s\u2019ins\u00e9rer. Parmi celles-ci, la sous-cat\u00e9gorie des locutions \u00e0 verbe support (Funktionsverbgef\u00fcge en allemand) attire \u00e9galement notre attention. De nombreux exemples issus de deux corpus comparables sont analys\u00e9s dans le but d&#8217;identifier les conceptualisations qui motivent l\u2019emploi des verbes dans ces locutions. A sentence like \u2018Charlotte didn\u2019t find rabbits\u2019 is assumed to be compatible only with a situation in which Charlotte has found no rabbit at all. Interestingly, Dutch seems to allow for wide scope readings of bare nouns in sentences where object scrambling has taken place, like in the following example: Er waren momenten dat ze doorhad dat ze dingen niet meer wist (\u2018There were moments she realised that there were things she didn\u2019t know anymore\u2019). In order to be able to determine the value of such examples in the wide vs. narrow scope discussion of bare nouns, it should first be clarified which role scrambling plays.<br \/>\nThe purpose of this paper is to explore the semantic effects of scrambling. We present a synthesis of the Dutch scrambling debate and assess whether scrambling is an operation affecting the inherent semantics of the bare nouns, or whether it is rather an independent operation that may entail secondary semantic effects. We will argue, in line with the majority of analyses on Dutch scrambling, that this phenomenon is not semantically-induced, but that when scrambling takes place, surface scope relations between constituents may change, thus potentially yielding a secondary semantic effect. Given that in such contexts, que \u2018that\u2019 does not syntactically depend on a previous matrix clause, such constructions have been treated as instances of insubordination. While a growing body of research has investigated the interactional patterns associated with declarative free-standing que-clauses, there does not yet exist a systematic analysis of its use in interrogative contexts. Our study analyzes insubordinated wh-interrogatives in a corpus of spoken informal Castilian, Argentinian and Chilean Spanish conversations. An interactional analysis reveals that insubordinated wh-interrogatives typically have a high degree of presuppositionality and consequently are used with anaphoric discourse functions such as repetition and interactional challenge. However, we also find cases in Madrilenian Spanish in which these constructions are used to introduce or specify changes in the discourse topic. Dit is onder meer het geval na de voorzetsels trotz \u2018ondanks\u2019, (an)statt \u2018in plaats van\u2019, w\u00e4hrend \u2018tijdens\u2019 en wegen \u2018wegens\u2019. Er is al eerder onderzoek gedaan naar factoren die de naamvalskeuze met deze voorzetsels be\u00efnvloeden, maar meestal gaat het dan om taalexterne factoren. Depuis les ann\u00e9es 90, l\u2019action de participer a pris une importance centrale dans les sciences humaines. Ce qui est frappant dans la g\u00e9n\u00e9ralisation de l\u2019utilisation de ce lex\u00e8me dans diff\u00e9rents contextes, c\u2019est qu\u2019il y d\u00e9signe des actions tr\u00e8s diverses, de la simple pr\u00e9sence \u00e0 la prise de d\u00e9cision concr\u00e8te, en passant par la cr\u00e9ation d\u2019un groupe de pression. Par une d\u00e9marche de recherche qui allie la linguistique et le droit, nous cherchons \u00e0 circonscrire son s\u00e9mantisme. Pour y parvenir, nous avons constitu\u00e9 un corpus de 42 pr\u00e9sentations de cas en fran\u00e7ais, issues de la litt\u00e9rature scientifique en sciences sociales, qui analysent des dynamiques participatives autour de la d\u00e9finition et de l\u2019exercice des rapports humains \u00e0 l\u2019eau. Cette \u00e9tude exploratoire est appuy\u00e9e par une recherche des emplois de participer dans le journal Le Monde. L\u2019analyse et la mise en s\u00e9rie des textes du corpus a permis de d\u00e9crire les sch\u00e9mas pr\u00e9dicatifs du verbe participer \u00e0 selon la th\u00e9orie Sens-Texte afin de pr\u00e9ciser, sur le plan r\u00e9f\u00e9rentiel, les modalit\u00e9s de la participation. Le produit de cette analyse se pr\u00e9sente sous la forme d\u2019une grille de lecture, \u00e0 destination de la soci\u00e9t\u00e9 civile et des autorit\u00e9s publiques, qui vise \u00e0 accompagner tant l\u2019interpr\u00e9tation que la r\u00e9daction des textes juridiques. Le transfert personnel est une strat\u00e9gie par laquelle le signeur adopte le r\u00f4le d\u2019un r\u00e9f\u00e9rent dont il rapporte ou construit les \u00e9nonc\u00e9s, les pens\u00e9es ainsi que le comportement corporel. La compr\u00e9hension d\u2019un tel changement de perspective est li\u00e9e \u00e0 deux observations. D\u2019une part, le transfert personnel s\u2019accompagne de la mobilisation par le signeur d\u2019articulateurs non manuels : regard d\u00e9sengag\u00e9, rotation de la t\u00eate, inclinaison du corps et expression faciale du r\u00e9f\u00e9rent construit. D\u2019autre part, les expressions d\u00e9ictiques accompagn\u00e9es du transfert personnel sont interpr\u00e9t\u00e9es depuis un autre contexte que celui de l\u2019\u00e9nonciation. Certaines approches du transfert personnel consid\u00e8rent que le marquage non manuel qui en est caract\u00e9ristique r\u00e9sulte d\u2019une grammaticalisation sp\u00e9cifique aux langues des signes. A comparative pilot study<\/div><\/div><div style=\"clear:both;\"><\/div><div class=\"sdm_download_description\"><div class=\"page\" title=\"Page 1\">\n<div class=\"layoutArea\">\n<div class=\"column\">\n<div class=\"page\" title=\"Page 1\">\n<div class=\"layoutArea\">\n<div class=\"column\">\n<p><strong>An Lambrechts &amp;\u00a0Heidi Verplaetse<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<p>This article aims at assessing the impact of the use of monolingual original corpora in the target language, hereafter MOC, containing texts produced by native speakers, on translation quality with respect to errors related to the relationship between source and target text (adequacy errors) and errors in the target text independent of the source text (acceptability errors) (cf. (Daems et al 2014:62). Past limited research has shown that MOC have a positive impact on, among other things, text subject understanding, term choice and idiomaticity (Bowker, 1998) and that MOC raise language awareness (Bowker, 1999). Two experiments were conducted among a total of 56 students who used various translation aids (bilingual dictionary, translation memory (TM), self-compiled MOC, online resources) for the translation of specialized (legal and business) text fragments. After determining the effect of the different translation aids on the number and the type of errors (established through error typologies) the positive effect of MOC on the error rate could be confirmed. TMs, whether or not combined with MOC, appear to be more oriented towards adequacy. TMs in combination with MOC lower the number of adequacy errors with regard to word sense disambiguation (hereafter WSD): TM use increases the number of context-correct translations compared to dictionary use. MOC could also have a positive effect on the number of acceptability errors (e.g. idiomaticity and grammar), as MOC use lowers the number of acceptability errors in our experiments.
