The LSB, founded in 1936, is an association that gathers linguists from Belgium, whatever their research interests and theoretical backgrounds.<\/p>\n

The LSB organises an annual Linguists\u2019 Day<\/a>, a non-thematic study day. For young researchers this is an informal opportunity to present a (first) paper and to meet other Belgian researchers, but experienced scholars are also more than welcome! A selection of contributions is published in the web journal Papers of the\u00a0Linguistic Society of Belgium<\/a>.<\/em><\/p>\n In addition, the LSB ensures the publication of the international scientific journal The<\/em> Belgian Journal of Linguistics<\/em><\/a> (edited and distributed by John Benjamins, in English). Each volume contains a selected set of peer-reviewed, thematic articles, sometimes based on papers read at a thematic conference<\/a> organized at a Belgian university with support of the LSB.<\/p>\n Finally, members of the LSB have access to an automatic mailing list, which allows for a quick and easy exchange of information.<\/p>\n As a member, you can participate in the annual Linguists\u2019 Day<\/strong> for free, you can spread upcoming linguistic events and job opportunities via the mailing list, you benefit from a discount rate at the thematic conference, … and you support the functioning of the LSB!<\/p>\n If you wish to become a member of the Linguistic Society of Belgium, fill in the registration form<\/strong><\/a>.<\/p>\n There are two membership options:<\/p>\n To pay your membership fee, please transfer the payment to:<\/p>\n IBAN : BE07 0011 8119 5066 Instructions for payment will also be sent to you by email after you fill in the registration form.<\/p>\n Your membership\u00a0will only be effective after reception of the payment. Once your first payment has been processed, you can check the status of your annual membership<\/a> on our website (at the bottom of your individual profile).<\/p>\n The membership fee is due annually.
