For students doing the professional focus in automatic language processing, the dissertation includes a laboratory research placement of a minimum of 7 weeks which is an essential part of the dissertation. For these students, the 30 credits awarded for the dissertation are spread as follows :

Les étudiants dont le niveau d'anglais serait insuffisant pour lire des articles scientifiques peuvent ajouter à leur programme un des deux cours d'anglais suivants, moyennant justification. Les étudiants qui manifestent un intérêt particulier pour la langue des signes peuvent ajouter un cours (5 crédits) à leur programme, moyennant justification. Le cours additionnel fera partie intégrante du programme de master, qui totalisera plus de 120 crédits
