The approfondissement in business studies completes the baccalaureate program in economics and management. It allows the student to gain a deeper understanding over the course of workshop-seminars (15 credits) as well as follow business studies courses (15 credits) which are not offered by his/her baccalaureate program.

Enrolling for the approfondissement

1. Enrolling on the approfondissement and checking the enrollment form
After s/he has enrolled on BAC12 at the general student secretariat, between the end of June and the middle of September, the student is invited to enroll on the elective on the website: 
http://www.ucl.ac.be/etudes/2006/cycle1/fr/baccalaureats.html

In BAC13, it is not longer necessary for the student to enroll for the second year of his/her elective, as s/he will be enrolled automatically. 

2. Changes to the approfondissement enrollment form  
Any student who wishes to change his/her choice must consul the conseiller aux études (course adviser).

1. Information on entry requirements
This information is available in the detailed elective program (above).

2. Signing up for approfondissement activities  
Students sign up for elective (course) activities at the same time as they sign up for major (course) activities. 

The registration form for elective activities is available on the web :

This form must be handed in to the secretariat of the student's faculty of origin.

Organization of exams

1. Registering for exams
To register for exams, students follow the same procedure as when they register for major course exams.

2. Consulting exam times
The grid of exam times can be consulted  at the time of  the exam registration. Elective course exams take place during  a special week  during the normal session, in order to avoid timetable clashes. The grid of times is available on the website:
