Minor in Mathematics and their Applications [30.0]

The minor is intended for all students who are enrolled on a baccalaureate program. It aims to give students an introduction or additional training in the area of mathematics and how mathematics is applied. Students with a program which includes a lot of mathematics (BAC engineer, BAC science maths or science physics) are nonetheless invited to think instead about taking minors in mathematics or in applied mathematics. The minor will give the students the chance to better understand mathematical reasoning and acquaint themselves with the intellectual rigor that formal theory demands. It also provides mathematical tools which can be used for a wide range of applications in exact science, social science or medical science.
