The activities of the minor in philosophy are accessible without entry requirements to all baccalaureate students in other disciplines to that of philosophy as a additional subject to the student's major. The minor will then be an integral part of the student's baccalaureate program of 180 credits and will be taken during the 2nd and 3rd years of the baccalaureate at the rate of 15 credits per year.

Enrolling on the minor

1. Organisationald details
Minor courses take place during the day, on Tuesdays and Fridays in the morning and on Wednesdays and Thursdays all day.

2. Enrolling on the minor and checks on the enrollment 
In order to access the IT application you need to enroll on an option (minor, approfondissement, option), use the following  page:

3. Checks on the minor enrollment
There are no access criteria for the minor. Students who ask to enroll are thus enrolled directly. Should students so wish, they can check their enrollment via the same application as the one used for the enrollment request.

4. Changes to the minor enrollment
Should the student wish to change their minor enrollment, they are asked to contact  M.-A. Saussu (010/47.46.16 - ma.saussu@uclouvain.be)

2. Enrolling for minor program activities  
Students must print out the enrollment form for the minor course which is available on the web at the following address:

The form must then be handed in to the faculty where the major is being taken.

3. Obtaining a  "visa" from the person in charge of the minor

Year 1
ARKE1250 A complete syllabus exists for this course. The course can also be found on icampus with a special version for distance learners.The procedure is described on the icampus site. 

FILO1140 This course can be found on icampus. Students can make an appointment with the permanent course staff member if they would like additional information.

FILO1190 A very full syllabus (250 pages) is available. It can also be found on icampus. Should a timetable clash arise, students can contact the permanent course staff member in order to agree on their work program. 

FILO1220 Support is made up of the three first chapters of the following work : Feltz, B., 2003, "La science et le vivant", De Boeck Université, Brussels. Should there be a timetable problem, the student is asked to contact the permanent member of course staff. A 'case by case' solution will be drawn up:  feltz@risp.ucl.ac.be

Year 2
FILO1260 A syllabus is available and the course is on icampus. Students who have a timetable clash may contact the permanent course staff member in order to come to an alternative arrangement.

Students register for minor exams at the secretariat of the department where they are taking the major.
