Content
Specialized translation workshops are made up of two parts. The first part is devoted to administrative and legal translation from French into LSFB (15h). The second part is devoted to the translation of specialized topics, particularly in the legal and medical fields, from LSFB into French (30 hours).
Teaching methods
Tutorials in class (mandatory attendance) and homework.
Evaluation methods
During the semester, formative evaluation of the student's work.
January session: certification evaluation organized according to the following methods:
- Translation section French > LSFB (1/3 of the final grade): submission of a work during the last lesson (the precise terms of the work will be communicated by the teacher during the semester);
- LSFB > French translation section (2/3 of the final grade):
o continuous certification assessment (1/3 of the grade LSFB > French),
o written exam during the session (2/3 of the grade LSFB > French).
August/September session: certification evaluation organized according to the following modalities:
- French translation section > LSFB (1/3 of the final grade): submission of a piece of work (the precise terms of the work will be communicated by the teacher after the announcement of the results in June);
- LSFB > French translation section (2/3 of the final grade):
o written exam during the session.
In case of failure in the unit, only the component(s) failed during the January session will be resit during the August/September session. In case of unjustified absence from one part of the exams, both parts of the exam must be resit during the August/September session. If the unit is not validated at the end of one year, the two parts must be presented the following year.
