This course offers interdisciplinary perspectives on various cross-cutting themes related to migration. A dozen professors and researchers in the humanities, from six different Faculties, are behind this program: anthropologists, economists, demographers, lawyers, sociologists and psychologists. They join forces with Belgian and international experts to inform, exchange and reason about the issues raised by migration.
At the end of this course, you will be able to:
Analyze migratory movements and their root causes
Describe their impact on family life
Master the legal terms underlying migration
Analyze the effects of migration on the demographics and economy of the host country
Deconstruct the prevailing discourse on migrants
Build a more objective vision of the migration phenomenon
