At the end of this learning unit, the student is able to :

1 Contribution of teaching unit  to learning outcomes assigned to programme 
With regard to the learning outcomes assigned to the Master's programme in Interpreting, this teaching unit contributes to the development and acquisition of the following goals
1.5, 2.2, 2.3, 2.4, 3.1, 3.4, 4.1 , 6.1, 6.4, 6.5
On completion of this course the student will be able to:
  • understand various basic sentences in International Sign (everyday interactions, facts, descriptions) comprendre divers messages signés simples (dialogues de la vie courante, récits de faits, descriptions)
  • master the vocabulary related to thematics covered in class
  • identify the main information in the message (characters, time, places, essential facts) and identify words related to a lexical field in their context and restore them with exactitude and in context.
  • apply grammatical notions of LSFB to International Sign.
  • use periphrases for concepts that do not have a specific sign
hold a conversation in International Sign with a signer whose native sign language is not LSFB.
 
Content
Introduce oneself, talk about oneself and about one's environment, know how to ask questions and answer them, use iconic structures typical to signed languages to convey a message.

Homework (watching and making videos in International Sign)
Evaluation methods
Formative assessment during the semester
Oral exam in June (short presentation prepared in advance followed by interaction with the International Sign teacher)
September session: modalities identical to those of June.
