Teaching methods
Students learn how to produce a sight translation into spoken French of a text written in English focusing on sentence and text analysis: segments, units of meaning, and so forth. The students work in the interpreting lab in order to work independently, listening again and making corrections on the basis of instructor feedback on the recording.
Evaluation methods
During the January exam session students sit an individual exam in extempore translation as taught during the first semester. Student taking the exam during the August/september session do likewise.
