Main themes
The student chooses one or several courses or parts of courses within the offer at the IEPR, the UCL or in other institutions. The final choice is operated in agreement with the titular professors and, if appropriate, with the promoter of the master thesis. Only those courses for which the student has the necessary background knowledge can be selected. At the end of the course, the student writes a final report that will be evaluated by the titular professor.
Learning outcomes

At the end of this learning unit, the student is able to :

1 The aim of this course is to provide the student with the possibility to follow a personalised curriculum related to the project of his master thesis, his research interests or his professional specialisation.
 
Content
Partim A (3 ECTS): core course for the 3 focus (MS-KN-MA): Communication training, conflict management and development of critical thinking.
Partim B (7 ECTS):
  • Research focus (MA): one or several courses to be selected from the UCLouvain portfolio (min 7 ECTS). Choice to be indicated in the MOTR-MA agreement form and to be validated by B. Schepens
  • Professional focus “adult neurology (KN)”: Internships, supervision by J. Duqué
  • Professional focus “musculoskeletal physiotherapy (MS)”: Individual written work to be carried out, supervision by R. Hardwick.

Evaluation methods
Part A: participation and critical written report
Partim B: depending on the focus (MA, KN, MS)
Score based on the number of ECTS, Partim A: 30% and Partim B: 70%

  • This master's course in motor sciences - general orientation is accessible to students holding a master's degree in physiotherapy and rehabilitation and who wish to specialize, either in relation to their professional practice (MS, KN), or in the field of research (MA).
