Content

Plant cytology, histology and morphology:

• Particularities of plant cell
• Plant histology
• Anatomy of the root, the shoot and the leaf
• Secondary growth
• Modified organs

Plant physiology:

• Plant nutrition and sap circulation
• Photosynthesis

Plant biotechnology:

• Genetically modified organisms
• Cell cultures

Introduction to the fungal kingdom
- Relationships between Men and fungi
- Classification of toxic fungi (Ascomycetes and Basidiomycetes)
- Syndromes and responsible fungi

Teaching methods

Lectures  and practical work of analysis of histological sections

Evaluation methods

The evaluation is done through a written examination for the theoretical part and a practical examination for the practical part. The final mark is the weighted average of the marks of the theoretical and practical examinations. The theoretical assessment is worth 17/20 points of the final grade and the practical assessment is worth 3/20 points of the final grade. For the theoretical assessment, the 17 points are divided into 10 points for the "plants" part and 7 points for the "mushrooms" part.
