Main themes
To achieve its objectives, the course consists of:
- presenting a historical and doctrinal synthesis of the question of the one God and Triune;
- introducing to the current problems, situating them in the contemporary context;
- initiating the practice of dogmatic theology.
This part of the course includes an introduction to the elaboration of a problem and a practical introduction to the bibliographic instruments; it leads the student to write a work which gives him/her the opportunity to put into practice the elements of this initiation and to develop an active relation with the material.

Content
2022/2023
The course studies the Christian confession to the One and Triune God from the perspective of biblical theology, historical theology and systematic theology.
How did faith in the Triune God develop? What are its biblical sources and normative expressions in the dogmatic tradition? What theological actuality to express the Mystery of Mysteries?
Teaching methods
Lecture. Work is carried out on the sources made available in the syllabus, as well as through regular reading of documentary resources made available throughout the course.

Evaluation methods
The exam consists of two questions, one on a point of the course to be presented (the choice of the question is made by drawing lots), with 15 minutes of preparation (series 1), the other consisting in presenting a work, sent to the teacher 48 hours before the exam (series 2); duration of the exam: 15 minutes.

1. Explain: "Christianity is a monotheism".
1. Explain: "Christianity is a Trinitarian monotheism".
1. The Trinity of Irenaeus and Tertullian.
1. The Trinity of Origen.
1. The Trinity at Nicaea.
1. The Trinity at Constantinople I.
1. How to present the question of the Filioque?
1. Define the concepts of appropriation and perichoresis.
1. Define the Trinitarian concepts of person and property.
1. Define the Trinitarian concepts of mission and relationship.
1. What is the Raherian axiom? What is its scope? What are the consequences?
1. Summarise the contribution of Karl Barth to the Trinitarian renewal of the 20th century.
Series 2
2. Present a work on the One and Triune God in a biblical book (1000 words, 6000 characters esp. compr.; insert a brief bibliography to be used in the work). The choice of the Bible book is made in consultation with the teacher. The work is sent to the professor's e-mail address 48 hours before the exam.
Ex: God in the Gospel of John.
