Content
This teaching unit (UE) will focus on the following themes:
(i) Definition and history of psychomotricity.
(ii) Founding articulation between the body and cognition - psycho-corporal experiences.
(iii) Attitude in psychomotricity - the relationship to oneself - the relationship to the Other - the in play relationship.
(iv) Fundamental constructions in psychomotricity (rythm, time, space, body schemata, body image, prehension, gnosias, praxias, laterality).
(v) Observation and evaluation assessments in psychomotricity based on clinical cases.
These themes will be approached in an integrative manner, that is, by applying a "back and forth" mode between the theoretical concepts/models and the different observational and interventional techniques in psychomotricity.
Teaching methods
- This teaching unit will adopt a flipped classroom method that will aim to anchor the student in a constant process of experimentation and critical reflection. The objective of this dynamic is to bring students to reach a level of integration of knowledge that will allow him/her to understand psychomotricity through enactive learning, that is, in congruence with his/her own experience and his/her own life.
- Each teaching session lasts 2 hours. Each session will follow a mixed format with a theoretical part (slides/videos), debate and discussion, and practical work (in the class or in the psychomotricity room). 
- Detailed information about the class dynamics and the different learning outcomes will be provided during the first class session on Monday, September 26, 2022 from 10:45 to 12:45 (SOC-240). 
- Attendance is mandatory.
Evaluation methods
The evaluation will focus on two aspects:
1.    A group assignment (following an oral presentation format) where students will develop their own psychomotor intervention project applied to a target population. This intervention must be based on empirical evidence and carried out in collaboration with a psychomotrician. This work will be graded on 14 points.  
2.    The completion of an individual and personal assignment (in written format; 5 pages) in which the student will conduct a critical and constructive observation and analysis of his/her own psychomotor experience throughout the practical exercises undertaken during the class. This work will be graded on 6 points.
Other information
- The first class session will be held on Monday, September 26, 2022 from 10:45-12:45 (SOC-240). 
- Participation in the course involves mandatory registration on the MoodleUCL site.
- Lectures and practical sessions (TP) take place in the class room and in the psychomotricity room and/or by streaming, and/or recorded and made available for a limited time (depending on the number of registered students).
