At the end of this learning unit, the student is able to :

Content
The student chooses a topic that he/she develops and deepens in a personal and original way for a scientific research work at the end of the bachelor's degree. This topic is related to questions and problems in literature, linguistics or cultural studies of the languages of specialization. He/she will write a paper on the chosen topic in agreement with his/her promoter.
The body of the TFC, excluding appendices, tables and bibliography, is approximately 30,000 characters including spaces (13 to 15 pages).
Teaching methods
Regular interaction with the promoter. These meetings can be collective if several students are working on a similar topic (seminar format). The meetings will be held in the language of the work, either English, German, Dutch, Spanish, Italian or French.
Evaluation methods
The final paper is supervised and evaluated by a promoter in the student's field of study.
It is evaluated on the basis of :
  • the achievement of its objectives
  • the ability to produce a relevant and well-documented synthesis
  • the personal commitment and ability to discuss methodological choices
  • the coherence of the work
  • the correctness, quality and accuracy of the written formulation.
Other information
Language : For students choosing a foreign language theme, the paper must be written in the chosen language.
Inscription : Students must register on the date specified in the Faculty's academic calendar by means of an online form. An information session is organized at the beginning of the academic year.
