Main themes
An introduction into Sanskrit (continuation).
As a sequel to the course LGLOR1670, this course continues to teach progressively Sanskrit morphology of nouns (declensions) and of verbs (conjugations), a basic vocabulary, the principles of derivation and composition, and the peculiar syntactic features, illustrated, in the form of exercises, by short extracts of Sanskrit texts of elementary and average difficulty.

Learning outcomes
At the end of this learning unit, the student is able to : | |
1 | better understand the main elements and the system of Sanskrit morphology (declensions and conjugation) and syntax, as well as the principles of derivation and composition; |
2 | have acquired basic Sanskrit vocabulary; |
3 | translate and grammatically analyse, using the appropriate working tools (grammar, dictionary), Sanskrit sentences and short texts of elementary and average difficulty. |
