Content
The seminar introduces students to interdisciplinary research on the relations between the media technologies and the practices, competences or knowledge developed by their users. It aims to teach students to critically read and discuss the scientific literature on these issues. In this sense, it constitutes a preparatory step for the completion of a personal assignment on a particular research question (cf. LCOMU2608). It is based on the analysis and discussion of scientific texts, particularly from the communication sciences and the educational sciences.
Teaching methods
The seminar is based primarily on the following two types of activity
In the event that health measures related to covid-19 do not allow the seminar to be held face-to-face, the seminar sessions will be held remotely, using the Microsoft Teams tool.
- Analysis and collective discussion of texts and experiments on the chosen themes, introduced by the students, based on a reading portfolio compiled each year according to the proposed themes;
- Presentations by specialists (if the opportunity for visiting professors arises).
