Content
The course is a basic introduction to medical geography with a focus on infectious diseases associated to the environment. We review how mapping and a multiscale perspective can bring additional highlight to public health practitioners.
Teaching methods
The course is made of lectures and a practical work in which students choose and analyze an application of cartography in the context of health.
Evaluation methods
The course will be evaluated based on a written assignment commenting on a map presenting a health-related phenomenon, chose by the student (50%) and an oral presentation of the work to the group (50%).
