This teaching unit addresses the following issues:
The Code of Ethics and the opinions of the National Council of the Order of Physicians, the missions of the Order of Physicians
Patient rights and their application in practice
Professional secrecy, medical certificates, protection of privacy
Medically assisted procreation, surrogate motherhood
Voluntary termination of pregnancy
End of Life: Palliative Care, Euthanasia    
Responsibility from an ethical point of view (disciplinary procedures)
Mechanisms for the physician's criminal and civil liability and compensation for health care damages
Teaching methods
Interactive lecture with case resolution.
Evaluation methods
Written exam with MCQ and/or QROC
The assessment is intended to be holistic and will include a series of questions known as "driver's license" questions, the successful completion of which is essential to validate credits.
For the multiple choice questions, the standard setting technique will be used.
For the second session, the exam could be an oral exam depending on the number of students.
Other information
Deontology and medical law - volume 15 hours, 2 credits in block 1 of the master's program.
