At the end of this learning unit, the student is able to :

Content
Translation of texts from highly specialised genres in the field of international relations under different headings.
Acquisition of general vocabulary and specialised terminologies of the examined topics. Documentary and terminological research.
Teaching methods
Lectures on translation of specialised discourse. Practical exercises of translation that must be done according to instructions given by the teacher (individually, in pairs, with or without tools, etc.).
The methodology used during classes also aims to provide a close insight into a “translation project” as a whole.
Evaluation methods
The evaluation of the UE will consist in a written translation, which will have to be done individually and as taught during the semester, during the session of January. Students taking the exam during the session of August/September will do likewise.
Further information on the instructions of the exam (with or without tools, etc.) will be provided by the teacher before the sessions.
