The course analyses the social challenge of development by examining the complex relations between liberalisation, growth, poverty and inequalities from a development perspective. A comparative approach is used to investigate issues resulting from globalisation in various regions of the world and to identify common issues of development in northern, southern and eastern regions.

Learning outcomes

At the end of this learning unit, the student is able to :
1	The aim of this course is to make students aware of general issues in development policy, through critical analysis of the key issues stimulating the current debate on globalisation.
