After a historical and conceptual introduction, the course presents the main areas of contemporary canon law: what are the issues at stake and the concrete practices, in general, based on the structure of the 1983 Code, and in particular on the notion of the fundamental rights of the faithful. The ecclesiological relevance of canon law is examined in order to grasp the scope of the debates relating to the "theology of canon law".

Teaching methods
COVID: Face-to-face will be encouraged wherever possible.
Hybrid modalities for online teaching are possible.
The course is grouped on two Saturdays in February.

Evaluation methods
Open book written exam. A list of questions is made available to students at the end of the course. The exam consists of a theoretical question and a practical casus.
