Prerequisites
The objective of this teaching unit is to consolidate and further develop the first part of the intermediate level. The student should therefore have followed the teaching unit of intermediate level part 1 (LNEER 1230) or a course of similar level (level B1 of the CEF for the reading and listening skills, B1- for the speaking skills and A2 for the writing skills).

Content
This teaching unit involves
- the revision and extension of general vocabulary as well as specific (field-related) vocabulary (media),
- the revision of specific Dutch structures (selftuition),
- the training and development of reading and listening skills (authentic material).,
- developping the speaking skills.
Teaching methods
Depending on the health context this course will be given in face-to-face mode.
- groups of max. 25 students.
- Revision and extension of general vocabulary as wel as of specific (field-related) vocabulary (media),.
- Revision of specific Dutch structures (selftuition),
- Training and development of the reading and listening skills (authentic material),
- Training and development of the speaking skills (presentation, roleplaying, ...)..
Evaluation methods
Depending on the health context and the availability of large auditoriums, paper-based and oral assessments can be postponed to the January session and/or can be done on PC (e.g. onTeams).
- Mid-term test on vocabulary and irregular verbs (10%)
- Oral exam in the last week of the term (40%).
- Written exam during the exam period (50%).
In September, the student will have to take the written and oral exams again.
