Aims

At the end of this learning unit, the student is able to :

Specific learning outcomes on completion of teaching unit
On completing this unit the student is able to:
·         Recognise what is at stake in a communicative situation;
·         Position themselves within the interaction in accordance with the professional ethics in force;
·         Transmit the message faithfully and in full;
·         Provide effective oral communication between speakers of Turkish and of French in sensitive situations.
 
Content
Practical Turkish'French liaison exercises in fields such as:
- relations with administrative authorities (municipal authorities, health insurance companies, ministries, etc.)
- relations with healthcare professionals in clinics and hospitals
- relations with the teaching staff
- relations with judicial authorities

Practical participative exercises.
The CU will enable the student to adopt the role of the interpreter in a social context, to practise and to improve his or her ability to reproduce, clearly and faithfully, an oral message from French to Turkish or vice versa by means of exercises which are corrected and commented on in class, role-play and real situations.
