At the end of this learning unit, the student is able to :

The completion of the preparatory document for the master dissertation (fiche – mémoire) is a first step for a personal research practice. It should enable the student to:
- Demonstrate his or her ability to propose an original disciplinary or interdisciplinary research question, based on the search for relevant bibliographical reference;
- Identify the necessary information or data;
- Identify appropriate methodological approaches to answer the research question.

The student benefits, throughout the elaboration of the fiche-mémoire, from the accompaniment of a teacher who will be his/her supervisor.
Evaluation methods

Due to the COVID-19 crisis, the information in this section is particularly likely to change.

The fiche-mémoire is submitted to the supervisor and validated by the Teaching Commission. The following elements must be included: precise definition of the subject of the dissertation; historical/geographical context of the research; main keywords; relevance and originality of the subject in relation to the existing literature; research question and, if applicable (depending on the methodology adopted), hypotheses; data and methods envisaged to answer the research question. This form will be completed by a bibliography (maximum one page) attesting to the heuristic search.
