Content
This seminar will focus on the study of three types of combined messages: comics, children's picture books and advertisements. The socio-historic context within which each type of message emerged will be described. Analysis in large groups will examine developments in the various outputs and consequently the discernible changes within the text-image pairing. Analysis proposals will be tested in sub-group exercises.

Assessment is based on participation in the seminar and on the different assignments (in sub-groups: 20% of the final grade; individual: 80%).
