Main themes
The course will explore issues related to the idea of revealed religion, starting from the non-exclusive example of the Christian religion. It will do so on two axes:
- More generally, it will ask in particular the following questions: Can a revelation claim the truth? How can divine revelation happen in history? What is the place of interpretation in the reading of inspired texts?
- Theologically, it will deal with the relationship between faith and revelation, the phenomena of canonization, and the theologies of inspiration
Aims

At the end of this learning unit, the student is able to :

1 - discern the object and the method of fundamental theology as integral part, but also critical function and elucidation of theology;
 
2 - to learn to reflect on the problems posed by the articulation between the revealed texts and their interpretation as well as their historicity.
 
3 - to familiar with the fundamental theological notions of revelation, inspiration, magisterium, lumen fidei

This course will focus on the notion of revelation from a philosophical and theological perspective. There will also be questions about the relationship between faith and religion
