The training course takes place in an active institution in the field of communicating history, in the public or private sector, in Belgium or abroad. It is carried out with a training course supervisor, preferably a historian by formation, affiliated with this institution. The training course comprises on average 240 hours during which the student is integrated into a professional environment. In the absence of concrete insertion into a professional environment, under the direction of the academic training course supervisor, the student will analyze and/or complete a communication project in history - directed in a professional environment.
Aims

At the end of this learning unit, the student is able to :

1 Discover the realities of a professional environment

2 Observe and carry out tasks concerned with the activity of this milieu

3 Deal with theories and practices as regards communicating history

4 Point to competencies transferable from your training towards a professional sector

5 Provide oneself document and orientation leading to employment

Content
In consultation with the management and the training course supervisor welcoming him, the student will observe and analyze the organization and functioning of the institution and its various services and take part in the institution's activities. With the training course supervisor's assistance, he defines one or more potential projects on communicating history, details the status of the question and proposes one or more scenarios answering the question. Presenting the institution, together with its missions and services, and the project or projects developed by the student are the subject of a training course report.
Evaluation methods

Due to the COVID-19 crisis, the information in this section is particularly likely to change.

The final grade is a synthesis of evaluations made by the faculty member in charge of training courses and the training course supervisor from the welcoming institution; these evaluations relate to the student's activity during the training course and the training course report provided by him.
