This seminar deals with questions of Indian philology (Sanskrit and Dravidian) bearing on palaeography, epigraphy, critical edition, history of texts or the study of native commentaries.
Aims

At the end of this learning unit, the student is able to :

1 A the end of this seminar, the student will be capable of applying specific competences in Indian philology.
 
Content
This interuniversity FNRS seminar provides a useful complement to the advanced level courses of Sanskrit, dealing with questions of  palaeography, epigraphy, critical edition, history of texts or the study of native commentaries. Among the specialised recurrent themes,  the  questions concerning southern Indian epigraphy and the study of Malayalam writing are worthy of note.

Intensive seminar based on primary material (manuscripts, inscriptions), led by one or more invited experts.

- an evaluation of the active participation of the student at the seminar;
- a work involving the application of the new methods.
