Content
This course studies the behavior of firms and their international activities such as exporting and importing as well as engaging in Foreign Direct investment and outsourcing abroad. We study the types of firms that engage in these activities, how they differ from firms without any international links, and the different strategies they use when selling abroad. We explore the consequences of firms' involvement in global activities for their workers, their productivity and innovation, and draw the policy implications of this analysis, both for developed and developing countries.
