  • Issues and narrative possibilities in the use of each of the tools for expression/representation in a project, on all scales and at each stage of the process (observation, analysis, research, composition, reconstruction)

  • Context of the appearance of different tools for expression/representation and important landmarks  for each of them, both historically and symbolically
Composition of tools for expression/representation in the production of 'speech aids'
Written and oral communication
  • Formulate and communicate in oral, graphic, or material form, and in writing, based on the 'speech aids' produced, the foundations and aims of the result of the project
Aims

At the end of this learning unit, the student is able to :

Students will be able to display the coherent way in which they can use conventional and artistic methods of representation to explore and reveal present or imagined reality; this contributes to the learning outcomes reference network:
Express an architectural procedure
  • Be familiar with, understand and use the codes for representing space, in two and three dimensions
  • Convey the experience of spatiality in all its complexity by observing it and posing questions
  • Identify the founding elements of a hypothesis or a proposal to express and communicate them
  • Test and use relevant means of communication in relation to the intended audience and the target objectives
  • Express ideas clearly in oral, graphic and written form
In Brussels, students will also be assessed on the following specific learning outcomes:
  • Students will be able to display the coherent way in which they can activate their knowledge and their critical stance in relation to tools for expression/representation in the discipline.
  • Students will be able to display the coherent way in which they can activate and complete an individual project, to reconstruct it and take a critical view of the reconstruction, whilst aware of the disciplinary field involved in the project.
