Student learning is entirely active and interactive. Students have extensive preparation work to complete on MoodleUCL and on paper before every class, based on texts and audio files introducing new lexical or grammar items. Students apply the new language in written and oral exercises. Teachers give the students feedback on their productions.
Evaluation methods

- The written exam assesses whether all course objectives have been reached.
- The continuous evaluation is based on students' completion of their preparation work on MoodleUCL and on paper, as well as on their participation in classroom exercises.
- The resit exam covers all course material and its final grade does not take continuous evaluation into account.
