Prerequisites

Main themes
The main subjects covered in this course are endocrinology, reproductive physiology, digestive physiology, cardiovascular physiology as well as renal and respiratory physiology. Part 1 (1q - 9 credits - 90-10) : digestive physiology (36h), endocrinology and reproductive physiology (54h) Part 2 (2q- 4 credits- 45-20) : cardiovascular, renal and respiratory physiology
Content
Courses deals mainly with domestic mammals (ruminants, pigs, horses, dogs and cats). Other species such as birds and rodents are also addressed. The accent is brought on the importance of the regulation of physiological functions, among others by presenting simple pathological situations.
The course is splitted into two parts
The partim B deals with cardiovascular physiology, respiratory physiology and renal physiology
Teaching methods
Courses in auditorium. Simple clinical cases will be addressed. Students are invited to answer quizzes via the Wooclap application.
Evaluation methods
Oral examination with written preparation. The student's ability to make connections between the parts of the course (and other courses) as well as their reasoning ability will be part of the assessment.

Prerequesites: General physiology, Biochemistry and Animal Cellular Biology.
