Content
God and Money (2018-2019)
The ethics of economics deals with the relation between economic practice and the moral evaluation of these choices. And God in all that? The distance between market economy and religion seems to be enormous. There is a gap between the condemnation of an economy that kills and the religious legitimation of prosperity and private property. The confrontation of two worldviews is necessarily tense. The course wants to promote deeper reflection on the numerous contact points between religion and economy and to encourage critical thinking.

Teaching methods
There will be lectures and also important interactive moments based on texts that have to be read by all participants.
Evaluation methods
The elements of evaluation are the regular and active participation, the writing of a short essay (maximum 5 pages on a subject that can be chosen among the topics of the course) and an oral exam.
