Content
This course deals with the different types of democracy (direct, representative, deliberative, notably), the interactions between science, technology and society, international democracy, democracy within organisations
Teaching methods
The course relies on readings to be prepared before coming to class and on discussions in class. Guest speakers will be invited to present some specific issues
Evaluation methods
This course is based on readings that will be prepared by written documents to be presented and discussed in class. At the end of the semester, a written exam will be done in a take-home format.
Other information
This course demands active student participation and a reading command of English
