The course of historical criticism systematically traverses all the essential stages of the historical approach: the choice of the subject and the definition of problems; documentary or heuristic research; use of "auxiliary sciences"; critical analysis itself; the synthesis; data processing and written presentation. Through this course, a place is made for historiography, the epistemology and the encyclopedia of history.

Content
The course of historical criticism systematically traverses all the essential stages of the historical approach: the choice of the subject and the definition of problems; documentary or heuristic research; use of 'auxiliary sciences; critical analysis itself; the synthesis; data processing and written presentation. Through this course, a place is made for historiography, the epistemology and the encyclopedia of history.
At the end of this course, the student will be able to correctly articulate the historical approach with theological discourse and to develop a systematic critical reflection on the works and sources relating to the Christian past.
