Although we do not yet know how long the social distancing related to the Covid-19 pandemic will last, and regardless of the changes that had to be made in the evaluation of the June 2020 session in relation to what is provided for in this learning unit description, new learnig unit evaluation methods may still be adopted by the teachers; details of these methods have been - or will be - communicated to the students by the teachers, as soon as possible.

Content
Main techniques useful for a master thesis. Measurements, treatment comparisons and simple surveys.
Practical aspects will be dealt with in such a way as to make it possible for the students to actually run analyses in an autonomous fashion using the course material. New concepts will be introduced in a practical way (implementation and interpretation, with no mathematical content beyond what is strictly necessary to grasp the principle of the analysis).
Teaching methods
Lecture and demonstrations based on real cases.
Practical exercises will also be dealth with in class using the software R.
