Aims

At the end of this learning unit, the student is able to :

1 Students who have successfully completed this course will be able to:
  • List the main components of an information system (eg ERP and its tools), describe how they work and the interactions between them
  • Analyze the functioning of an information system, argue about its strengths and weaknesses and make suggestions for improvement
  • Explain the life cycle of an IT project and identify the actions to be taken as a project manager during the different phases of the project
  • Explain the managerial, human and economic issues related to a project manager
Students will have developed methodological and operational skills. In particular, they will have developed their capacity to
  • Explain the role of information systems in the field of information systems
  • Take into account non-technical dimensions (ethical, legal, tax, etc.) in projects setting up or adapting an information system
  • Master methods and tools that help a project manager to complete the project
