Aims

At the end of this learning unit, the student is able to :

1 The aim is to explain the different sources of our medicines and methodologies to search for new drugs from natural origin (plants or isolated active molecules), from biotechnology, from research in medicinal chemistry or radiopharmaceuticals

Content
Each theme will be developed by a teacher or a group of teacher specialized in each domain from the three participating universities: UCL, ULg and ULB. Theoretical courses will be given on chosen examples and for some cases on a personal work of the students. Courses will be given on the three universities sites.
Other information
Prerequisite: course from the master in pharmaceutical sciences Evaluation : Evaluation will be performed by an oral exam, successively with a teacher or group of teachers of each part of the course.  At least one teacher of each part will be present for the evaluation.
