Main themes
The course will address issues related to belief, in its epistemological, religious, but also specifically Christian aspects. On the first aspect, the course will introduce to the epistemology of religious beliefs. On the second, it will present the problem of the relations between faith and religion. On the third, it will address the notions of lumen fidei, of theological virtue, and of dogma.
Aims

At the end of this learning unit, the student is able to :

1 - discern the object and the method of fundamental theology as an integral part, but also critical function and elucidation of theology;
 
2 - reflect on the problems posed by the articulation between theology and the sciences of religions, between internal and external approach of the religious fact;
 
3 - be familiar with the fundamental theological notions of faith, magisterium, dogmas, and with the strengths and limitations of the various recent types of fundamental theology.

Content
From a perspective that is both historical and thematic, this course focuses on the question, "what do you believe?" There will also be questions about the relationship between faith and religion.
