Although we do not yet know how long the social distancing related to the Covid-19 pandemic will last, and regardless of the changes that had to be made in the evaluation of the June 2020 session in relation to what is provided for in this learning unit description, new learnig unit evaluation methods may still be adopted by the teachers; details of these methods have been - or will be - communicated to the students by the teachers, as soon as possible.

Main themes
This course presents the political and juridical regime that constitutes the European Union, as well as the examination of its development projects, its stakes and the debates which they arouse (European Constitution, enlargement, ...). A second part is dedicated to a more extensive examination of certain Union's policies, especially in the economic and social field. The position of the actors and the examination of the questions of the moment shall feed the reports and the discussion.
Aims

At the end of this learning unit, the student is able to :

1 At the end of this course, the students will be able : - to analyze the orientations of the economic and social policies as defined inside the institutions of the European Union - to master the present stakes of the european politics : projets of a Constitution, Union's enlargement - to determine the interactions between the strategies of different economic and social actors and their influence on the economic and social reality
