The course aims to develop ability to stand back regarding the advantages and the limitations of research in speech and language clinical therapy. It addresses different formats of scientific communication in order to acquire relevant skills in research communication.
Teaching methods
The course is based on presentations of scientific pieces of research and pieces of research applied to speech and language therapy that are going to be critically analysed during interactive activities with students. Secondly, students will be called upon to present a piece of research (theoretical framework, research questions, method, results, discussion and conclusion), and to present their advantages and limitations for the understanding of given situations.
Evaluation methods
The course evaluation will consist in an oral presentation of a piece of research by the students, including the presentation of the advantages and the limitations of the piece of research.
