Aims
At the end of this learning unit, the student is able to : | |
1 | The first aim of this course is to demonstrate, by theory and clinical practice, the advantages of an integrated multidisciplinary approach for the evaluation and management of acute and chronic pain states, palliatif care and geriatry. It is inspired by the biopsychosocial model. Secondary aims concern updating of neuropsychological mechanisms and presentation of new therapeutic resources. |

The Multidisciplinary Pain Clinic: aims and organization.
2. Palliative care and Geriatrics
This part include how taking care of patients with life-threatening diseases or at the end of life. Most common symptoms with discomfort are review. Teachers will introduce geriatric medicine with epidemiological data, interdisciplinary work and geriatric syndroms.
