Prerequisites
Attention: this course is open only to students who have taken or are enrolled in course LHAGI 2540.
Main themes
Tasks, procedures and constraints related to the fields of visitor reception, pedagogical policy, storage, site management, mounting exhibitions, personnel management, and finance (including relations with subsidy-granting bodies).
Aims

At the end of this learning unit, the student is able to :

1 To make students aware of the different aspects of the practical life of a museum: introduction to procedures and consideration of constraints arising from the situation on the ground.

Content
The structure of the course is linked to the examination of the conditions and criteria for accreditation of museums in the Wallonia-Brussels Federation. There will be meetings with museum professionals and behind-the-scenes visits.
Teaching methods
Lecture course based on legal texts and field trips.
Evaluation methods
Oral or written examination.
